TOPIC: SIN AS BARRIER TO ANSWERED PRAYERS TEXT: ISAIAH 59: 1 – 21 God’s people are not experiencing the reality of saving relationships and answered prayers or the supernatural manifestation of the power of God because they are not sincere. They are comfortable with their sinful behaviors with the appearance of a vital relationship with God, especially through their frequent prayers and sacrifices. But Prophet Isaiah puts it to them that “The arm of the Lord is not too short to save nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from God; your sins have hidden his face from you so that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59: 1 – 2). Could it be possible that our hands are also stained with blood and we are pursuing evil schemes? Like them, the way of peace we do not know, there is no justice in our path, justice is driven back, righteousness stands at a distance and truth is very scarce. Also like them, we are not experiencing the reality of a saving relationship with Jesus Christ because of our sinfulness. Therefore, if we want to experience the joy of answered prayers, we must deliberately cast away these barriers.

QUESTION

Have you ever experienced the manifestation of God’s supernatural power in your life? PRAYER

Dear father, I admit that my iniquities have separated me from You and hidden Your face from me. Please Father, forgive me, in Jesus name, Amen.
