TOPIC: WHEN YOUR FAITH IS CHALLENGED TEXT: MATTHEW 11 : 1 - 15 There are times when the things we profess about God do not turn out the way we expect. This could make us doubt the presence of God or the potency of our power as Christians. John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus who preached and taught about Him, must have expected Jesus to rescue him from prison. When that did not happen, he sent his disciples to confirm if He was indeed the same person he had preached about. It is worthy of note that God does not operate on our own human terms and does not owe us any explanation about the way He operates. He goes ahead to fulfill His plans and takes the glory. He spoke so well about John to those listening to His teachings even as he sent a response that might not have encouraged him. Therefore, we must understand that God's work must continue in spite of us because there is a time for everything.
How do you feel when you think that God has disappointed you? PRAYER
Help me, dear Lord, to understand that You will always work the way it pleases You and help me key into Your purpose here on earth, in Jesus name, Amen.
