ECWA FOOD FOR THE DAY - Monday 27th September 2021

TOPIC: LIVING FOR GOD TEXT: MATTHEW 13 : 44 - 52 The parables of the hidden treasures and of the pearl seem to have the same meaning while that of the net is different. Jesus wants His followers to understand that they need to develop positive outlook towards things of great value and do everything possible to get them. It appears that these parables are speaking about God's love for the Church and how He gave His life to purchase the Church because of its great value for eternity. The parable of the net is closely connected with that of the weeds where the angels will separate the wicked from the righteous when finally Christ comes. we should therefore understand that Christ's work of redemption was a great sacrifice for mankind and that we should maintain our calling until He comes to take us home.

QUESTION How would you assess the work that Jesus did for you on the cross? PRAYER Jesus, because You redeemed me, I am committed to living for You until You come to take me home, Amen.
