TOPIC: DON"T SELL OUT TO DO EVIL IN THE EYES OF GOD
Oftentimes, doers of evil and wickedness forget that there is someone greater and mightier than them who sees the activities of every man under the sun. Man is easily deceived by his greed and evil intentions into believing that he is so powertul that he can get away with almost anything he does. Ahab might have thought he would get, away with murdering Naboth and seizing his inheritance. Power and wealth give you a false sense of security and a deceptive feeling of immunity from judgment. At the peak of Ahab's joy for taking over Naboth's vineyard, God came calling through Prophet Elijah, a man Ahab intensely feared. Nemesis must always follow every act of evil, especially when perpetrated against the righteous and innocent. Elijah brought a message of doom and judgment to Ahab and his household. Although King Ahab repented, as demonstrated when he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and fasted, the judgment still affected his son and family.
Brethren, resist the temptation to sell out to a life of evil because of the temporary enjoyment it promises because the end shall be eternal damnation.
What joy do you derive from a life of evil and wickedness?
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that You turn the hearts of the wicked among us
and cause them to repent like e King Ahab did, in Jesus name, Amen.
