TOPIC: THE GRACE OF HUMILITY TEXT: 1 KINGS 21 : 17 - 29 As wicked as Ahab was, when judgment was pronounced against him by Prophet Elijah, he humbled himself before God in prayer and fasting and God forgave him his many sins. Had his children for three generations after him done the same before God, the judgment would have eventually passed over them and completely aborted after the fourth generation (Numbers 14:18). King Ahab enjoyed the grace of humility. If such a wicked king was forgiven by God because he humbled himself and prayed, how much more would God do for us His children who humble ourselves before Him in prayer and fasting. "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
QUESTION Are you willing and ready to humble yourself before God? PRAYER Oh God, help me to humble myself before You and repent of all my sins without making any excuses, in Jesus name, Amen.
