TOPIC: THE PATH OF PURITY

TEXT: PSALM 119 : 1-16

It is true that no human being is perfect. However, that does not mean that man cannot stand blameless before God. The Psalmist opens the text of Psalm 119 with the assumption that a man or woman can choose a life that is blameless and by implication live a life of purity. The subject of purity has to do with your daily transactions and engagements with people.

This begins from motives deep in your heart where only God has the prerogative of seeing and knowing. So, the Psalmist pointed that purity is attained by walking according to the law of the LORD (verse 1, 9). It is true that whatever occupies and controls the mind invariably dictates the life you live.

Today, most people, including Church members, are controlled by the demonic spirits of drunkenness, immortality and adultery, envy and jealousy, violence and abuse, etc, because they have filled their wrong movies and listening to the wrong messages. A life of purity is attained by deliberately filling your heart and mind with the Word of God.

QUESTION

With what have you been feeding your heart and mind lately?

PRAYER

Help me, dear Lord, to fill my mind with Your Word so that I can stay on the path of purity, in Jesus name, Amen.
