ECWA FOOD FOR THE DAY - Sunday 7th November 2021

TOPIC: U-TURN TEXT: JEREMIAH 3 : 1 - 5 There are a lot of paths that lead to different destinations. Some can lead to a wrong direction while others can lead to the right direction. Proverbs 14:12 says that there is a road that seems right but may lead to destruction and that if one discovers that he or she is going in the wrong direction, there is need to make u-turn and take the right path. Today's passage describes the children of Israel as divorced women who have lovers everywhere (vs. 1-2). Although their prostitution has an unfortunate effect on the seasons (vs. 3) - "the skies no longer give rain" - yet they refuse to blush with shame. Verse 4 - 5 shows that the children of Israel have not displayed any sign of repentance, that is, making a u-turn, so as to receive God's blessings (2 Chronicles 7:14).

QUESTION Are you casual with sin as a child of God? PRAYER Lord God, help me not to take any wrong path in my walk with You. I repent from every wrong path I have taken in the past, in Jesus name, Amen.
