TOPIC: JOY IN GOING TO GOD'S HOUSE TEXT: PSALM 122 :1-9 It is always a thing of joy to go to a designated place and meet with others to worship God. Many who view going into God's presence as burdensome or doing the priest a favour do so out of ignorance of the benefits therefrom. The primary purpose of God creating man is to worship Him for man's own benefit. It is therefore not surprising that David stated: "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem" (vs. 1 - 6). The reference to Jerusalem is an indication of the importance of corporate worship in designated place for the edification of God. Hebrew 10 : 25 affirms the importance of joint fellowship as the culture of the Church of Christ. It should be a thing of joy to be in the house of God for joint worship, for in His presence one finds Justice, equity and comfort.
Are you always eager and happy to go into a designated place to worship God with a sincere and expectant heart? PRAYER
Let me find joy in worshiping Your Majesty as long as I live, dear Lord, Amen.
